Replit app rejected? Here's why, and how we fix it.

Replit's Agent builds the app and runs it for you in the cloud. In review, the app meets a stranger cold: fresh install, no saved login, sometimes a server that's asleep. That's where most Replit rejections start.

RejectedGuideline 2.1 - Performance - App Completeness

We discovered one or more bugs in your app. Specifically, the app displayed an error message when we attempted to log in.

Next steps: Please run your app on a supported device to identify the issue, then revise and resubmit your app for review.

A typical message. Replit apps also often get Guideline 4.2 (website in a wrapper) and 5.1.1 (login and privacy).

Why Replit apps get rejected

Most Replit projects are web apps with their own server and database, published from Replit. Getting one onto a phone usually means wrapping it. These are the problems that follow.

  • The server wasn't there for the reviewerIf the published app is paused, expired or slow to wake up, the reviewer sees an error or a blank screen. Replit's free Starter plan, for example, takes its published app down after 30 days.
  • Links to the development addressParts of the app point at the development version, which stops answering when the editor is closed.
  • A web app in a wrapperWrapping the published web app without changes leads to Guideline 4.2.
  • Sign-in first, everything else laterLogin on the first screen, no privacy policy, and no way to delete the account.
  • Stripe for digital purchasesWorks on the web. On iPhone, digital purchases need Apple's in-app purchase.

The rejections we see most

How to share your project with us

Replit lets you invite a collaborator by email from inside the project. The person you invite doesn't need a paid plan, but Replit lists collaboration on its paid Core and Pro plans.

Please invite our email rather than sending the Private join link: Replit says that link gives edit access to anyone who has it. Project owners can revoke access at any time. If Invite isn't available on your plan, use the three-dot menu at the top of the file tree, choose Download as zip, and upload the file when you start your order.

When you start your order, we also show you how to invite us to your App Store Connect or Google Play Console account. It's a separate two-minute step, and we never ask for your password.

What we fix

Every app is different, but these come up again and again:

Server asleep or unreachable during review
Links to the development address
Web wrapper with no app-like feel
Login required before any content
Missing privacy policy or account deletion
Stripe used for digital features
Crash or blank screen on iPad
Screenshots that don't show the app

We make the changes inside your own Replit project and your own developer account. The app stays yours, and it's resubmitted from your account, not ours. If it comes back rejected, we keep going at no extra cost.

Questions about Replit apps

Do I need a paid Replit plan?

To invite us, most likely yes: Replit lists collaborators on its Core and Pro plans. We don't need you to pay for our seat. On the free plan, a zip download works too.

My app works when I open it. Why did the reviewer see an error?

Reviewers open the published app, not your editor, often hours after you submitted. If the server was paused or the app pointed at the development address, they got an error you never saw.

Will my app keep working after you're done?

Yes, as long as the published app stays live. We tell you plainly what has to keep running, in review and after.

Can I keep building with Replit Agent afterwards?

Yes. Everything stays in your Replit project. If a later update brings a new rejection, our care plan covers it.
